I went to the Love Vintage Summer Show last weekend and I actually managed to attend the late Friday night session. As I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked, I managed to check out the fashion parade and also I got to do a spot of shopping. Hoorah!

Some gorgeous finds from Frou Frou. Ooh, what a cute black top…
Frou Frou is great because it has a lot of new and vintage products.
So how does the fashion show work? It’s pretty simple really, all you need to is dress up and register and fingers crossed the judges say you are best dressed!
This young girl said that her step-father bought her her first fur…aww. The girl in the green found her delightful dress from the Vintage show last year. And with the funkiest threads in the show, this couple take out the best partner award – so cute!
The only little girl to enter won the best child’s costume – how fitting! I love the vintage rockabilly look this girl created using modern pieces. On the far end, my gorgeous friend Penny from Darn Sexy Second Hand!
You would swear it was Jackie Onasis – just gorgeous! Also, how gorgeous was this young girl in her vintage 1950’s dress with black velvet and lace with petty coat.
This young man had his suit made to resemble the suits of Mafia. This gentleman’s outfit was made up entirely of vintage accessories with exclusion of his glasses.
There she is again! I’m just like a proud mother, embarrassing my kids in front of everyone!

More gorgeous finds from Vintage Tarts (08 83592844) – so many stunning bits and pieces to look at.

How awesome are these perspex clutch handbags. Even if I bought this, I don’t know if I could wear it, I would probably keep it in a shrine and just stare at it. At $450 bucks a pop, they aren’t cheap, but damn they are awesome!
My darling friends from Barnhouse Antiques were here to say hello with some fabbo editions to their stall!

Let’s have a good ol’ yarn…get it.
Love this lady chair, so sweet! I later saw one of the rockabilly chicks trying on this green number…wonder if she ended up buying it?…
Vintage Kodak! How can something so old look so young. I ended up buying that little gold and blue brooch on the bottom left hand corner.
Recycology is one of my favourite stalls for everything retro – it just has everything you could ever want!
What a gorgeous piece of fabric. Again, another piece that I wouldn’t use and add to the adoration shrine.

Reow, look at these eat eyed glasses. They are purrrfect!

Vintage Cake Stands makes tea time even more fun with tea cup candles…
…and matching high-tea sandwich stands. Thanks Vintage Cake Stands!
A new edition to the Vintage fair is Lush Cherry and Jubly-Umph – welcome! I totally fell in love with Jubly-Umph’s designs that really remind me of the day of the dead celebration – just amazeballs!
The owner of the Lush Cherry stall made me laugh when she said “sometimes I feel like just putting studs on everything.”

Circa Collectables feels like walking into your awesome Auntie’s place that has not stepped outside her house in 40 years, it’s just has that fun retro glow.
Love, Festival Girl
