So just before Christmas, the boy and I went up to the Entrance for a couple of days of sun, sand and of course, some local markets. The afternoon we arrived, the weather was looking a little worse for wear… but the holiday gods were good to us and brought out some beautiful sunshine over the couple of days we were there!
The Waterfront Arts and Crafts Markets are conveniently located in the epicenter of the Entrance. Just head to the shore, you can’t miss it! I’ve been to this market a couple of times over the last couple of years so it was a shame to see it looking a little quieter than previous years.
Some local artists show off their talents.
Locals produce some wonderful handmade wood products.
Jewellery by the beach – yes please!
Granny chic eat your heart out!
My childhood favourite pastime. There is something so magical about a carousel. I don’t know if it’s the twinkling lights, mirrors or the perdy horses…ahhh…
What better way to finish off an afternoon of visiting the markets than tucking into some holiday nom noms with some delicious crunchy fried chicken wings from the local Vietnamese restaurant. Although its not really the cheapest place to eat if you’ve got a hankering for it, you’ll happily cough it up.
