Mother’s Day Craft Fair and Antique Valuations for Youth Off the Streets

The lovely organiser of the Mother’s Day Craft Fair and Antique Valuations contacted me a few weeks ago to tell me about an event coming up this weekend. The Craft Fair is organised by volunteers of Our Lady Queen of Peace (OLQP) parish in Greystanes will be holding its popular Pre-Mother’s Day Special on Saturday 5 May to raise funds for Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets which aims to assist homeless and disadvantaged youth. Hooray!

The fair features 35 stalls from all over Sydney, selling home-made décor, kitchen goods, edible treats, scarves and bags, jewellery and much more. I didn’t even tell you the best part. Although you could have guessed from the event name, the Fair is held in the style of the Antiques Roadshow television program.

These are available from 9am and everyone is encouraged to bring along special treasures or family heirlooms and painting to see how much they are really worth. Instead of bringing large paintings with you, the valuation can be done from a photo of the painting and artist signature. Each valuation $5.00.

I guess as Mother’s day is coming up, it might be a good chance to get a lovely gift for mum. Apart from the craft items for sale, one stall holder is offering a Family Portrait sitting for an UNFRAMED 8X10 print at only $20…an ideal Mother’s Day gift.. With delivery over the following few days to guarantee arrival by Mother’s Day.

Also, it’s a great day out for the whole family with traditional Devonshire teas and a fantastic sausage sizzle serving breakfast and lunch from 8am.
